What to bring
Please ensure your child brings, clearly labelled:
• A sun hat
• Sun cream (applied before arrival where possible, plus the bottle for reapplication)
• A change of clothes
• A named refillable water bottle
• A packed lunch (no nuts or nut-containing products, please)
• Weather-appropriate clothing (e.g. wellies and a raincoat for wet weather)
Acorn will provide a morning snack, afternoon snack and a light tea each day, so children only need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle.
*Activities *
We have lots of fun trips to local parks and museums planned across the summer. We’ll be updating the website with exact dates & locations shortly.
Children will be supervised in age-appropriate ratios on all trips and will wear high-visibility jackets. Acorn has many years of experience running local outings and is committed to providing safe, enjoyable experiences for all children.
We will monitor weather conditions and adapt activities as needed. During extreme heat or severe wet weather, trips and outdoor activities may be changed or replaced with suitable on-site activities in our cool hall or shaded garden. We benefit from a huge array of toys so children will always have plenty to do.
